Who are you?
My name is Bryan Chain, I live in the Philadelphia area. I am a 20-something graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelors in Computer Engineering and pursuing a Masters in Business Administration. I work at a local company doing Backup Systems Engineering and SAN Administration for the enterprise. I work primarily on the software Tivoli Storage Manager, and with IBM, Brocade, and NetApp hardware. Most of my day is spent on the AIX/TSM command line. It is very uninteresting.
Outside of work, I am a web designer as a hobbyist and I am always trying to come up with some sort of nifty web idea to make my dream of running a successful business come true. I have yet to make this happen. I also play a ton of video games, and watch a lot of movies. My other lazy hobbies include keeping a salt water reef aquarium which is quite the handful.
I consider myself a bit of a philosopher. I am always asking questions about the why’s and how’s of life and life’s mysteries. My view on life is highly cynical and I tend t question everything.
If you are compelled you can contact me, or see if you can find me on facebook.
Why should I read your blog?
Well, I don’t know. I am not a very good writer, and you’ll never see me claim to be one. However, I do believe I have a pretty witty and cynical opinion of most things which hopefully at least a few people might find enjoyable to read. While I am decently educated, please do not flame me for my lack of good grammar.
I also tend to think a lot, so much so that if I didn’t have post-it notes or Google Notebook to scribble random stuff onto, I would probably never sleep. So, maybe having a creative outlet such as this might help calm my inner demons.
What is WerkkreW?
WerkkreW is a word a friend of mine, Jason, came up with some years ago as name for our band we had back when none of us could play instruments. If you didn’t notice, its a Palindrome. I took quite the liking to it and with his permission basically stole it.
WerkkreW.com itself has had many lives since I bought it almost 10 years ago. Basically all of them were used to house one of my quirky web ideas. All of which, obviously, flopped.
So now, it is this. Maybe this blog will be of some interest to people. I certainly hope so as it would pain me to have to yet again re-purpose this domain name.
